Full Grant
Up to $10,000
For expeditions demonstrating exceptional merit and complete financial need. Covers permits, flights, base camp logistics, and emergency reserves.
Partial Grant
$250 – $1,000
Supplemental funding for teams with partial sponsorship or institutional support.
What the Grant Can Cover
✓ Expedition permits and national park fees
✓ International and domestic flights
✓ Base camp equipment and supplies
✓ Sherpa and guide compensation
✓ Communication and satellite phone costs
✓ Emergency insurance and medical reserves
✓ Professional climbing equipment
What the Grant Cannot Cover
✗ Personal clothing and everyday apparel
✗ Personal training costs prior to expedition
✗ Non-essential luxury items
✗ Debt repayment from previous expeditions
Evaluation Criteria
1. Climbing Objective
Peak elevation, technical difficulty, confirmed unclimbed status.
2. Team Capability
Documented climbing history, physical fitness, technical skills.
3. Safety & Environmental Plan
Comprehensive risk assessment and Leave No Trace strategy.
4. Budget & Feasibility
Realistic budget planning and expedition viability assessment.
5. Post-Expedition Commitment
Publish detailed climbing report and share GPS data.

Application Requirements
To apply, you must submit the following materials:
1. Expedition Plan (PDF)
Detailed climbing plan including route description, timeline, team composition. Max 15 pages.
2. Budget Breakdown (PDF/Excel)
Itemized budget showing all anticipated expenses.
3. Team CV / Climbing Resume (PDF)
Complete climbing history for each team member.
4. Risk Assessment & Emergency Plan (PDF)
Safety plan including evacuation routes and medical protocols.
5. Environmental Impact Statement (PDF)
Leave No Trace implementation plan and waste management strategy.
